SERVICES

Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation

Physical therapy is an important part of healing after breast or gynecologic cancer. Our program offers specialized care to help you feel stronger, move more comfortably, and improve your overall well-being after treatment. Whether you are healing from surgery, experiencing side effects from treatment, or simply working to feel stronger in your body again, our experienced physical therapy partners are here to help.

Services include:

  • Personalized Therapy Plans

    • Our licensed physical therapy partners  create an individualized plan just for you. They focus on your unique needs, whether that means rebuilding strength, increasing flexibility, reducing pain, or supporting recovery after surgery or radiation therapy.

  • Shoulder and Upper Body Recovery

    • After breast cancer surgery or radiation, many women experience shoulder tightness, chest wall discomfort, or limited movement. Physical therapy can help improve flexibility, restore range of motion, and reduce discomfort in the upper body.

  • Scar Tissue and Post-Surgical Healing

    • Scar tissue from surgeries like mastectomy, hysterectomy, or lymph node removal can cause tightness and limit movement. Our therapy partners use gentle techniques to soften scar tissue, improve mobility, and ease discomfort.

  • Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

    • Pelvic floor physical therapy is available for survivors experiencing pelvic pain, urinary or bowel changes, or discomfort during intimacy. This gentle and specialized therapy focuses on restoring comfort and function in the pelvic region and is provided in a supportive, respectful environment. Care is always provided with respect and sensitivity.

  • Lymphedema Care

    • Some women experience swelling in the arms, legs, or lower body after lymph node removal or radiation. Our certified lymphedema therapy partners provide hands-on care, compression therapy, and education to help manage swelling and prevent complications.

  • Support for Pain, Fatigue, and Mobility

    • Cancer treatment can cause lingering fatigue, muscle weakness, or chronic pain. Physical therapy can help restore energy levels, improve endurance, and support you in returning to your normal routines and activities.

Our goal is to help you move with more ease, strength, and confidence. Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing side effects, or simply looking to feel better in your body, we’re here to support your healing every step of the way. Physical therapy can play a key role in your recovery and quality of life and our team is here to support your journey forward.
