SERVICES

Mental Health and Emotional Support

Caring for your emotional well-being is just as important as caring for your physical health. Our survivorship program offers a full range of mental health services tailored for women who have experienced breast or gynecologic cancer. These services are here to support you as you navigate life after diagnosis and treatment and adjust to changes in your body, relationships, and daily life.

Services include:

  • Individual Counseling

    • Individual counseling provides a private and supportive space to speak with a licensed therapist who understands the emotional impact of cancer. Many women experience anxiety, sadness, fear of recurrence, changes in body image, or challenges with self-esteem. Counseling helps you explore these feelings and build healthy ways to cope, heal, and move forward.

  • Group Therapy and Support Groups

    • Group therapy and support groups offer a chance to connect with other women who have been through similar experiences. These sessions are guided by trained mental health professionals and provide a sense of community, understanding, and mutual support. Being part of a group can reduce feelings of isolation and help you learn from others on a similar path.

  • Couples Counseling

    • Couples counseling is available to support you and your partner as you adjust to changes in your relationship. A cancer diagnosis can bring emotional and physical challenges that affect intimacy, communication, and connection. Working with a therapist can help couples strengthen their relationship and support each other through the survivorship journey.

  • Psychiatric Care

    • Psychiatric care is also available through our program. This includes mental health evaluations and, when appropriate, medication management. Our psychiatric providers work closely with you to understand your needs and help manage symptoms such as depression, anxiety, or sleep difficulties.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

    • We also offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, often called CBT, which is a structured and evidence-based approach to managing distressing thoughts and emotions. CBT helps you identify patterns that may be causing stress and teaches practical strategies to improve your mood, reduce anxiety, and regain a sense of control.

Our mental health services are here to care for the whole you. Whether you are looking for one-on-one counseling, group support, relationship guidance, or psychiatric care, we are here to walk alongside you through survivorship and beyond.
