Genetic Counseling & Testing for Breast and Gynecologic Cancers

Fem Survivorship offers comprehensive genetic counseling and testing to help identify inherited risks for breast and gynecologic cancers. Understanding your genetic risk can guide personalized care and inform family members about their own health.

What We Offer:

  • Personalized Genetic Counseling

    • One-on-one sessions to review your personal and family cancer history

    • Education about hereditary cancer syndromes and what they mean for you and your family

  • Genetic Testing for Key Cancer-Related Mutations

    • BRCA1 & BRCA2: Linked to increased risk of breast, ovarian, fallopian tube, and peritoneal cancers

    • Lynch Syndrome (MMR genes: MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2, EPCAM): Associated with uterine (endometrial), ovarian, and colorectal cancers

    • Other Relevant Genes: Including PALB2, CHEK2, ATM, TP53, RAD51C, RAD51D, and others as indicated by your history

  • Who Should Consider Genetic Counseling?

    • Personal or family history of breast, ovarian, uterine, or other gynecologic cancers

    • Diagnosis of cancer at a young age

    • Multiple family members with related cancers

    • Known family history of a genetic mutation

  • Benefits of Genetic Testing

    • Clarifies your risk for certain cancers

    • Guides screening and prevention strategies

    • Provides information for family members who may also be at risk

    • Supports decisions about treatment and follow-up care
